What’s different about pricing in the new app

The new app meters in dollars of usage, not prompts.
  • Your subscription’s monthly price is the $ amount that you can use towards inference
  • Your imported top-ups (former prompt packages) add $ to your balance
  • Tempo bills you at break-even API pricing and does not make any profit on these plans.
For users on base plans (<$100), it is strongly recommended to use Sonnet/GPT-5.4 on low effort as Opus/GPT-5.5 on high effort burn credits extremely fast.

Managing your plan in the new app

Open Settings → Plan & Usage to see your current tier, monthly grant, and any imported top-up balance. The Manage Plan button opens the billing portal where you can update your card, change tier, cancel, or download invoices.

FAQ

Do I need to cancel my Tempo web subscription before switching? No. Both apps work in parallel until we sunset Tempo web — you won’t be charged twice. I bought a $50 prompt pack but didn’t use it all. Do I lose the rest? No. The unused portion becomes a top-up balance in the new app, usable on any paid model. Should I rush to use my remaining prompts on Tempo web before sunset? No. Your remaining value carries over either way. My company pays for Tempo on a corporate card. Will the new app bill the same way? Yes — same payment method, same invoice email. Update anything via Manage Plan. Can I still cancel through Tempo web? Until the web app is sunset, yes. After sunset, cancel through the new app’s Manage Plan button.

”My plan didn’t carry over”

Don’t see your plan after signing in? This usually means you paid for Tempo with a different email than the one you’re signing in with now (common when a work card is on a personal email, or vice versa).Email support@tempo.new with:
  • The email you used to sign in to the new Tempo app
  • The email you used when you paid (it’s at the top of your old receipts)
We’ll link your account within one business day. Your plan and any leftover credit will appear the next time you sign in.
